Website Evaluations
1. All3DP (https://all3dp.com/)
This website is very nice looking and has a lot of content. It contains everything from 3D models to print to instructions for your printer. The website is organized very nicely into several categories and also has a search function to allow users to find exactly what they want. Overall I would rate this website a 5/5 because it is clean, easy to navigate, and has a large amount of useful content.
2. Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/)
This website is a large database of files that can be 3D printed. Anyone can make a free account and contribute their own files that they have designed, allowing for an extremely large collection of 3D printable objects. The website is also very clean looking and has sorting functions and a search bar to help you find what you need. Unfortunately, the search bar did not work out all to well for me, and since that is very crucial on a website designed to help you find what you need, I am rating it a 4/5.
3. 3DPrinting.com (https://3dprinting.com/)
This website does not immediately look quite as nice as the others that I have reviewed, but it still looks alright. It is set up like a blog with a large list of articles that you can scroll through and read. There is also a store where you can by 3D printers and accessories. I rate this website a 4/5 because while the content is good, the presentation is only ok.
4. 3D Printing Industry (https://3dprintingindustry.com/)
This website's presentation is a little bit better than 3DPrinting.com's, but not quite as good as the other two I have reviewed. Something interesting that stuck out to me once I visited this website was that it has a feature for you to search for jobs in 3D printing. There are also plenty of news articles, reviews, and the like. This website was pretty easy to navigate and I thought it had good presentation compared to 3DPrinting.com, so I rate it a 5/5.
5. 3ders.org (http://www.3ders.org/)
This website easily left the worst first impression on me when I entered it. The presentation looked straight out of a website from the 2000s, so it looked dated by today's standards. The news articles have no images to go with them, making it less easy to find what you want in a short amount of time. The website has also not been updated in almost 2 years. Because of this, I rate this site a 2/5.
